The 3-Lane Content System

Last updated 15/10/2026

Also known as: 3-Lane System, Three-Lane Content System, Content Lanes

The 3-Lane Content System, developed by Christophe Moons, sorts every post into one of three lanes and sets a target mix for them across a month. The lanes are Authority, about 50%, Journey, about 30%, and Values, about 20%, which keeps an account varied without becoming random.

Each lane does a different job. Authority builds expertise and trust, with frameworks, myth-busting and breakdowns. Journey shows credibility and range, through projects, decisions and what worked and what did not. Values builds relatability and human trust, by sharing what is uncertain, difficult or simply human.

One post sits in one lane, and the mix is measured monthly across feed posts, as a direction to steer by rather than a figure to audit. The lanes work alongside content pillars: pillars decide what a post is about, while lanes decide which mode it is in. Authority and Journey posts always sit in a pillar. Values posts do not have to, because forcing one onto a genuine moment turns it into content marketing.
