A Stock Keeping Unit (or SKU) is a unique alphanumeric code assigned to a specific product to track inventory. It helps businesses distinguish between items based on attributes like size, colour, and price. For example, a blue t-shirt in a size large would have a different SKU to the same t-shirt in a medium.
